Trustworthiness Earns Winton Woods Six Grader Kiwanis Club

Winton Woods Intermediate School sixth grader Simon Asem.

Simon Asem, a sixth grader at Winton Woods Intermediate School, was honored at the district’s January Board of Education meeting for the trustworthiness he shows at school.  Simon was chosen to receive the Kiwanis Character is Key Award for Trustworthiness from the Greenhills-Forest Park Kiwanis Club. He was presented with the award by Kiwanis Club member John Pennycuff.

John Tomassoni, a sixth grader teacher at Winton Woods Intermediate School, praised Simon as “someone you can count on as a friend and student to lead you in the right direction.  His fellow students were so confident in his trustworthiness that they chose him to represent their class on the Winton Woods Intermediate School Student Council.”

Simon received a certificate of honor and a $35 bookstore gift card from the Kiwanis Club.
