Biography
Dr. Nasbe joined Winton Woods City Schools as Superintendent in July 2002. Previous to her employment at Winton Woods, she was the Executive Director of Accountability for the Columbus (Oh) Public Schools. Columbus Public Schools serves approximately 64,500 students, 9,000 employees, and 144 schools. She served that district for nearly 11 years in a number of leadership capacities including Special Assistant to the Superintendent and Budget Director. In addition, Dr. Nasbe served in several senior level positions in the Volusia County, Orange County, and Broward County (FL) Schools, beginning her career as a Mathematics and Spanish teacher. She also has experience working in corporate America.
She earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida, her MBA in Finance from Stetson University and a BA in Math Education from Florida Atlantic University. She is very active in the OSU Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, and serves on the board of numerous educational initiatives, such as the Central Ohio TIMMS Collaborative, The Ohio State University Pre-K -12 Initiative, and the Village to Child program at Ohio Dominican College.
